 We're always busy at UNI! These are a few of the things going on at our center this month! Please note, all events are subject to change. Gleaners Food Distribution:

In partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank, UNI is hosting bi-weekly food distribution events at our center! Families are able to drive by and pick up 20-30 pounds of fresh produce and kitchen staples.

Wayne Health Mobile Unit:

In Partnership with Wayne State University, Henry Ford and Ford, UNI is hosting bi-weekly health services at our Springdale Green Playlot (right across our building).  Wayne Health is offering a wide range of free health services to all individuals. This includes COVID-19 vaccines & boosters, COVID-19 nasal tests, Pediatric Pfizer vaccines. They also offer Diabetes, Cholesterol, Kidney function screenings. Best part? No appointment, no ID, and no insurance is needed!

SUMMER PROGRAMMING

SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT:​
​UNI is looking for youth ages 14-24 to take part in our 2021 summer youth employment program this summer! These are paid positions! They can join any of our youth employment programs (SUAMP, SW Food Cultivators, Q-Team, ELITE, Green Team, After School Program), local businesses, and community partners.

Youth can go to https://gdytedge.com/ and use our referral code "C1076" to start their application and be linked to our organization. Applicants must be residents of Detroit and be eligible to work in the United States.
