Navigator and Mental Health Specialist
Born and raised in a Hispanic household in Southwest Detroit. I am the second oldest of my three sisters and brother. With hard work and the support of my family, I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and earned a bachelor of arts degree in Behavioral Science and double minor in Women and Gender Studies and Criminal Justice. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to center my career around giving back to my community and it’s members. I have 4 years of working in the Education field, and 3 years of working in the non-profit field. Since working at UNI I have had the opportunity to connect with my community on a deeper level and have been challenged to grow as a professional. I greatly enjoy working with youth and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere UNI provides to all. I currently live in Taylor, MI with my fiance and two cats, Benji and Nebbie. In my spare time I enjoy decorating my home and practicing self-care.
